Psychiatric Technician at Waterbury Hospital – Waterbury, Connecticut

Provides direct patient care for an individual or group of adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patients either for inpatient psychiatric unit or partial hospital/intensive outpatient program. Acts as member of a multidisciplinary treatment team and reports to the Patient Care Manager. Participates alone, or with a co-therapist, in various psychotherapy groups, including activities, educational, recreational, and community milieu treatment groups or programs. Assists in maintaining patient and unit safety and security. Assists in the performance of various treatment procedures.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related Human Services field. One year experience in the Human Services field preferred.
