What Will You Do as a Manager of Copywriting at Etna?


This role balances hands-on copywriting and editing with people leadership, workflow coordination, and quality assurance.

As a Manager of Copywriting, you will:

Supervise and mentor copywriting staff, including onboarding, training, performance feedback, and professional development.Support PMO by providing accurate task estimates and communicating risks, delays, or capacity concernsReview copy for quality, accuracy, brand alignment, SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) best practices, and adherence to documented standards.Perform tasks for high-level or sensitive clients and help with other varied project items when team workload is impacted.Ensure communications with clients are professional, comprehensive, and consistent with the company’s Vision and Values.Work to define the highest quality standards for the department and make sure those standards are adequately documented and trained inside the company.Guide the team through the ethical and effective adoption of automation and AI tools.Monitor department output against Department goals using utilization dashboards, project finances, and other performance reports with the goal of enhancing output and profitability. Develop and document processes and implement training to maximize quality work products.Strategically think about department structure, process and procedures in anticipation of future needs.Why Should Etna Choose You?

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience8+ years of professional copywriting experience in a high-volume production environmentExperience supervising, mentoring, or leading other writersStrong editing and quality assurance skills across digital content typesExpertise in web writing, SEO, AEO, and conversion-focused contentAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyProficiency with Windows, Microsoft 365, WordPress, and web-based toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to coach and develop team members with empathy and clarityStrong organizational skills and attention to detailComfortable balancing people leadership with hands-on production workPositive attitude, collaborative mindset, and sense of humor

Salary 

The estimated base salary range for this role is $80,000–$95,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit. Etna Interactive offers competitive compensation aligned with industry standards and the value each team member brings to the organization.
