This role is focused on driving residential solar adoption through direct, in-home customer engagement and consultative selling. The Sales Expert is responsible for generating their own pipeline, meeting homeowners face-to-face, and presenting tailored solar and energy solutions that meet customer needs. The position requires strong relationship-building skills and the ability to guide customers through a high-trust, high-impact purchasing decision. Working in the field, the role combines autonomy with performance-driven targets in a fast-paced sales environment. It offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the transition toward clean energy while developing long-term customer relationships. - Develop and execute self-generated sales strategies to build a consistent pipeline of qualified leads and appointments.
- Conduct in-home presentations to educate homeowners on solar solutions and assess their energy needs.
- Build trust-based relationships with customers by delivering a high-quality, consultative sales experience from first contact through installation.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including follow-ups, pipeline tracking, and coordination with installation teams.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using CRM systems.
- Achieve or exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics defined by leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer journey and successful project delivery.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, lead generation, or in-home sales preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel locally within assigned markets and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass background checks.
- Comfortable using digital tools such as tablets, CRMs, and sales applications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
- Competitive base pay combined with uncapped performance-based commissions.
- Total average compensation ranging from approximately $60,000 to $90,000 in the first year (performance dependent).
