USED CAR TECHNICIAN at CHAMPION DODGE LLC – Downey, California

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostics, repair, and maintenance across all manufacturers’ makes and models.
• Address the customer's primary concern with diagnosis, repair and quality control.
• Perform the Multi Point Inspection on every vehicle.
• Inform the Service Advisor of any changes in the scope of work, including additional concerns, fewer concerns, or extended repair time.
• Maintain knowledge of all factory technical bulletins.
• Read manufacturer's drawings and manuals.
• Basic computer and internet skills.
• Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools.
• Keep shop equipment operating (maintain, troubleshoot, repair, etc.).
• Use computer diagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

• Dealership experience required.
• CDK experience is preferred but required.
• Able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
• Demonstrated professionalism and strong interpersonal skills when working with customers, vendors, and staff.
• Committed to maintaining a safe, customer-focused work environment.
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Self-motivated with solid work habits.
• Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.
