Accounts Payable Clerk at McKamey-Gates Inc. – Richmond, Kentucky

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial transactions and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the accounts payable process. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be essential in maintaining accurate records and timely payments. Minimum of 3 years previous experience in Accounts Payable setting required.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accuracy of information

- Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports

- Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers

- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies

- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions

- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any payment or invoice issues

- Stay up-to-date with accounting software systems and make recommendations for process improvements

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Experience with DealerTrack or other accounting software is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to perform general ledger reconciliation
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical skills to identify errors or discrepancies in financial records
- Proficient in 10-key typing for efficient data entry

Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
