Job Summary

REPORTS TO:

Shift Manager / Assistant Manager / Store Manager

The Crew Member is responsible for preparing and presenting the brand’s signature baked products, drinks, and sides, ensuring each item meets quality and presentation standards. The role involves direct customer service, maintaining a clean working environment, and adhering to operational, health, and safety guidelines. Depending on the brand’s focus—whether pretzels, cinnamon rolls, or other specialty baked goods—specific tasks may vary while upholding a consistent commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

• Interpersonal Skills: A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and an outgoing personality are essential.
• Availability: Must maintain dependable transportation and be reachable by phone. Weekend and Nights are a must.
• Experience: While previous experience in food preparation or customer service is beneficial, comprehensive training is provided.
• Compliance: Must be able to meet all regulatory requirements for equipment operation and safety protocols.

Work Context

• Stamina & Endurance: Ability to stand for long periods and work actively throughout shifts.
• Strength & Agility: Capable of performing tasks that include bending, stretching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Sensory Acuity: Ability to assess product quality through sight, taste, and smell to ensure each item meets brand standards.

Primary Job Duties

1. Product Preparation & Quality Control:

• Prepare specialty products according to standardized recipes.
• Perform key production tasks such as rolling, twisting, dipping, or assembling baked items, tailored to the store’s signature offerings.
• Monitor baking processes (e.g., oven times, product color, texture) to ensure consistency and quality in every batch.

2. Customer Service & Sales:

• Greet customers warmly and engage in friendly interactions, using established brand greetings and suggestive selling techniques.
• Assemble customer orders (e.g., bundling products with prepared beverages and sides) with attention to quality and presentation.
• Accurately process transactions using all accepted payment methods—including cash, credit cards, online orders, and catering sales—in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

3. Store Setup, Maintenance & Closure:

• Set up equipment, utensils, and supplies for opening, ensuring readiness for efficient operation.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance during shifts, ensuring that work areas and customer spaces remain sanitary.
• Follow closing procedures, including breaking down, cleaning, and securely storing equipment, to maintain a hygienic and organized environment.

4. Adherence to Policies and Safety Standards:

• Comply with uniform, dress code, and personal appearance standards as set by the brand.
• Follow health, safety, and operational guidelines, including adherence to local, state, and federal regulations (such as OSHA, ADA, and environmental standards).
• Exercise flexibility by performing additional tasks and supporting team members as directed by the present leadership.
