Job Description

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall repair and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical Gaming Machine under the direction of the Gaming Machine Manager

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Responsible for the repair, overhaul, and proper preventative maintenance of all electrical and mechanical Gaming Machine machines in accordance with gaming regulations.
  • Assists in the initial set-up and check out of new Gaming Machine machines.
  • Assists the Lead Technician in the break down, relocation and reset up of machines and stands to be relocated.
  • Assists Floor People in verifying jackpots as needed.
  • Will report to Gaming Machine Attendant Supervisor in absence of Gaming Machine Technician Supervisor
  • Assists in ensuring machine integrity when jackpots occur and at other times requested at Bannock Peak & Sage Hill Casino. Responsible for proper completion of jackpot and hand pay paper notes.
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Brings disputes and unusual customer activities to the attention of the Shift Supervisor.
  • Promotes positive Customer Relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, AND REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to submit supporting documents of education and training (High School Diploma, GED, Degree and Certificates) to support qualifications.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in good standing according to the licensing rules and regulations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain in good standing a Driver’s License, preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required. Electronics experience and/or degree preferred (G7)

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong organizational skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Customers and other Employees of the company.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Employee regularly works near electrical and moving mechanical parts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.
