Position Overview:

Under the general direction of the Acquisitions Operations Manager, the Acquisitions Intern will support data-driven initiatives for the Acquisitions and Legal teams, with a primary focus on researching, validating, auditing, and organizing land and deal data in preparation for migration into Redwood’s future Land Database within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). This role offers hands-on experience supporting enterprise system readiness by assisting with parcel and ownership verification, document review, and data quality efforts, while also providing exposure to market research, technology and AI initiatives. The intern will collaborate cross-functionally to help ensure accurate, well-structured data and is expected to act as a Redwood brand ambassador while supporting business-critical initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Acquisitions and Legal teams with collecting, researching, and validating data for migration into the future Land Database within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Perform parcel, ownership, and jurisdictional verification using public records, GIS tools, and municipal resources.
  • Review, organize, and catalogue real estate–related documents including development agreements, HOA agreements, easements, and other entitlement or legal materials.
  • Audit and validate existing acquisition and land data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness in preparation for future system migration.
  • Support market research and analysis activities, including rent studies, demographic reviews, and competitive landscape assessments, as needed.
  • Assist with administrative and operational tasks that support Acquisition Managers’ municipal submittals, including preparation of applications, exhibits, and presentation materials.
  • Provide support for departmental initiatives such as AI and process improvement efforts, including testing, documentation, and implementation assistance when applicable.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to ad hoc projects related to acquisitions, analytics, and strategic planning.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications, Education & Certifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Urban Studies, Finance or Communications preferably in Junior or Senior year
  • General computer proficiency

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to use standard office equipment such as computers, desk phones, cell phones, photocopiers, etc.
  • Must be able to navigate stairs occasionally, particularly in the event of elevator outages or during emergency situations.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, stand, bend, and walk with the ability to lift 30 pounds occasionally.

Attendance and Scheduling:

  • Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential for success in this role, and employees must adhere to set start times and assigned schedules.
  • Occasional travel may be required for team outings, training sessions, or company-sponsored events, estimated at less than 5% annually.

Work Environment:

  • Job is performed in a professional office environment.
  • Exposure to varying indoor temperatures depending on location in the building and season.
  • Combination of natural daylight and standard office lighting throughout the workspace.
  • Movement across multiple flooring types, including tile, carpet, and other transitions.
  • An open workspace layout, defined by a shared space without traditional enclosed offices or high-walled cubicles, may introduce distractions or reduce privacy.
  • Possibility of shared desk spaces.
