Medical Assistant at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Willis-Knighton Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant with previous experience in an allergy clinic. The Medical Assistant will provide nursing care to patients in the physician offices under the supervision of the clinic Physician. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: assess the health status of patients and collaborate with the nursing staff and physicians to establish care procedures; contribute to the planning of appropriate nursing interventions; medication administration for oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal; document patient assessment; communicate pertinent information regarding patient condition to other members of the health care team; and provides information to patient/family regarding disease process or diagnostic procedures.
