COMPENSATION RANGE: $70,000 to $80,000

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday

SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for the monitoring and advancement of our food safety and quality programs. Throughout daily process checks as well as short- and long-term projects, the QA Supervisor will ensure that all procedures meet regulatory compliance, so that our products are a safe quality product for our consumers. This position is also responsible for the daily functioning of the lab, including but not limited to; employee development, safety, continuous improvement, data analysis, problem solving, and regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise daily QA activities, including sampling, testing, and documentation for products.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory standards, as well as company policies and customer requirements.
  • Maintain and enforce Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) guidelines.
  • Monitor production processes to identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and develop preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management.
  • Oversee calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise QA technicians and staff.
  • Schedule and manage QA team activities to ensure coverage across shifts.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and food safety awareness.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance within the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industry; dairy experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory quality role.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, cGMP, FSMA, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.

  • Exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/high. Wet/slippery work conditions.
