Role Overview:

The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for building and managing relationships with transportation carriers to secure capacity and negotiate competitive rates. This role supports logistics and brokerage operations by ensuring reliable carrier coverage, maintaining strong partnerships, and contributing to operational efficiency and margin performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, onboard, and maintain relationships with transportation carriers.
• Negotiate rates and capacity with carriers to support shipment coverage.
• Secure carrier capacity for assigned loads and lanes.
• Communicate load details, expectations, and requirements clearly to carriers.
• Monitor shipments and proactively address issues or delays with carriers.
• Maintain accurate carrier and load information in internal systems.
• Collaborate with operations and account teams to ensure service levels are met.
• Meet performance metrics related to coverage, margin, and service quality.

Requirements: Experience, Education & Skills:

• Previous experience in carrier sales, logistics, freight brokerage, or a related sales role (minimum 6 months preferred).
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to work with transportation management systems (TMS) or similar tools.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability to work assigned schedules based on operational needs.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• Experience working with U.S. freight markets or logistics providers.
• Familiarity with TMS platforms and load boards.
• Understanding of transportation terminology and pricing structures.
• Experience working in BPO or nearshore logistics environments.
