Your Role:
FMI is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our Manufacturing and Engineering team. This role is responsible for leading a team of up to 15 employees and ensuring safe, efficient operations during the assigned shift. The Shift Supervisor will oversee advanced equipment, support employee training, and partner with management and engineering to drive productivity and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day shift operations to keep production running safely and on schedule
- Direct and support a team of up to 15 employees, setting clear expectations and providing hands-on guidance
- Monitor equipment and processes, troubleshoot issues quickly, and minimize downtime
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across the team
- Enforce safety practices and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S)
- Work closely with engineering and leadership to improve processes and achieve production goals
What we need from you:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or technical degree preferred
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience (textile or composite experience a plus)
- Prior leadership or lead experience in a production environment
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Shift Schedule:
- Rotating schedule 4pm to 4am (Week 1: Wednesday–Saturday; Week 2: Thursday–Saturday)
