An Afternoon/Evening Job Opportunity in the Lexington, MA area: Join Our Mission to Empower Individuals with Disabilities!
Are you passionate, motivated, and ready to make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities? Bridging Independent Living Together, Inc. (BILT, Inc.) is looking for self-initiating team members who share our mission of providing quality, personalized services to individuals in their homes and communities.
Who We Are:
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with varying disabilities. At BILT, Inc., we pride ourselves on taking the "impossible" and making it "possible." Our work is diverse-ranging from teaching individuals how to secure employment and enjoy community outings to offering vital respite care and mentorship. We serve individuals between the ages of 3 and 65, helping them achieve greater independence in all aspects of their lives. We are open Monday thru Sunday, with various shifts available between 9am-7pm.
Who We're Looking For:
*A CNA or PCA who can assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist client with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, cooking, eating, oral hygiene, bedtime routine etc.--as needed
*Monitoring Vital Signs: As required, take and record vital signs like blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate, and report any significant changes.
*Assisting with Mobility: Help client move around, including transferring between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations. Some driving would be involved.
*Maintaining a Clean Environment: Clean and sanitize patient areas and equipment to prevent infections.
*Documenting Patient Care: Accurately document patient care activities, including medication administration and any changes in patient condition--as requested.
*Assisting with Other Tasks: May assist with tasks like taking meals, stocking supplies, and answering patient calls.
*Collaborating with other Direct Support and Clinical Team Members throughout.
Requirements: CNA license required. Car and valid driver's license (you will be taking individuals into the community in personal vehicles; mileage reimbursement provided).
Clean driving record. Ability to pass a CORI check.
Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to helping others
