ARMED SECURITY OFFICER- MUST HAVE A CURRENT/VALID MARYLAND ARMED GUARD CERTIFICATION
IMMEDIATE FILL-NEED
Maryland Armed Security Officer (PART TIME -Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 22:00-06:00 )
Location Type: Critical Infrastructure Protection Assignment, Capitol Heights, Maryland
We are currently hiring part-time to transition to full-time Maryland Armed Security Officers for various locations in the Capitol Heights, Maryland area, to provide armed protection for critical infrastructure assignments. The position will start part-time (24-32 hours per week).
Responsibilities:
- Patrol assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of clients and their property.
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas.
- Write detailed reports of incidents and activities.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must possess a valid current Maryland Armed Guard Certification issued by the Maryland State Police
- Must have availability to respond within 24-40 hours when dispatched by Valentis.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from locations. Public transportation cannot work with these details.
- Must complete all Valentis Group, Inc. required training and qualifying standards.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb stairs.
- Must have good vision and hearing
Compensation: $27.00 per hour
