CENTRAL SCHEDULING/INS VERIFICATION at Salina Regional Health Center – Concordia, Kansas

This position reviews all outpatient procedures/surgeries to provide complete and accurate financial information and documentation, verifies and pre-certifies outpatient services as defined by payers, provides centralized scheduling of outpatient services as well as some inpatient services utilizing appropriate planning, and education according to professional standards, state regulations, and in keeping with the health center’s mission. The position is responsible for Insurance Verification, Prior-Authorization, Cost Estimate, and Scheduling for Radiology, Outpatient Services, Surgery, Laboratory, Cardiopulmonary, and Therapy departments as assigned. This is done by coordinating/scheduling all services ordered from the physicians with the appropriate departments using Meditech Scheduling software, entering insurance information and scanning physician orders as needed. Centralized Patient Scheduling schedules for patients of all ages.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Two years recent experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.

1 year clerical, insurance or scheduling experience.

None
