Alvarez Plumbing & Air Conditioning is seeking experienced Residential HVAC Lead Installers to run high-quality residential HVAC installations throughout the Tampa Bay area. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for full system changeouts, supervising helpers or junior installers, and ensuring every installation is completed safely, cleanly, and in full compliance with local codes and manufacturer specifications.

The ideal candidate takes pride in code-correct work, communicates professionally with homeowners, and leads by example on every job site. This is a full-time, year-round position offering steady work, strong compensation, and no seasonal layoffs.

• Lead residential HVAC installations and complete full system changeouts

• Install split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, ductwork, and thermostats

• Run jobs with a helper or junior technician, ensuring productivity and quality

• Ensure all installations meet local codes and manufacturer specifications

• Communicate professionally with homeowners and internal team members

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites at all times

• Train and mentor junior installers to company standards

• Complete installs efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Residential HVAC Lead Installer

• Proven ability to run installations start-to-finish independently

• EPA Certification (Type II minimum)

• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems, codes, and best practices

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record

• Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in attics or outdoor conditions

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Detail-oriented with pride in clean, professional installations

• A background check will be completed as part of the onboarding process, in compliance with applicable laws

• Light commercial HVAC experience

• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service software
