Director, Cybersecurity at Brixmor – Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

Role Overview:

The Director of Cybersecurity will lead and collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure the security and resilience of Brixmor’s infrastructure, data, and operational systems. This leadership role is both strategic and hands-on, ensuring that cybersecurity is embedded into every aspect of our business operations and technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cybersecurity Strategy: Execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with Brixmor’s business and IT goals.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate cyber risks across enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and operational technologies. Serve as an advisor to senior leadership on cybersecurity risks, trends, and mitigation strategies.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence and improvements to Cyber frameworks such as NIST and internal policies.
• Security Operations: Oversee the team in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery planning.
• Team Leadership: Manage a high-performing cybersecurity team; foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.
• Vendor & Technology Oversight: Lead the team in evaluating and managing security tools, services, and third-party risk.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity leadership, preferably in real estate, retail, or asset-heavy industries.
• Requires hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, network technologies, and Microsoft Azure.
• Proven track record in developing enterprise-wide security programs and managing a high performing team.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) required.
