Position Summary:

  • Financial Reporting Supervisor demonstrated success in financial close, and reporting activities within a large, multi-entity healthcare organization.
  • Recognized for driving improvements in close efficiency, reconciliation compliance, and reporting accuracy through effective use and administration of BlackLine and PeopleSoft, resulting in more timely, reliable financial information for leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Serves as a key liaison between finance, IT, and operational teams to support system governance, user enablement, and continuous optimization in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
  • Trusted advisor to executive leadership, auditors, and operational partners, while developing and managing a high-performing accounting team through clear expectations, and coaching.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting for a complex healthcare system, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and Board-level materials for hospitals, physician practices, and affiliated entities.
  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to streamline close activities, enhance internal controls, and improve audit readiness across the organization.
  • Serve as system administrator for financial reporting and close management platforms, managing user access, configurations, training, and system enhancements in coordination with IT and external vendors.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, including performance management and staff training.
  • Support internal and external audits by coordinating deliverables, resolving findings, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the administration of PeopleSoft ChartFields, elimination sets and reporting trees to meet internal and external financial reporting requirements and optimize efficiency.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Corporate Accounting and IT to ensure successful and timely implementation of new reports and system functionality.
  • Lead the design, testing and implementation of new system functionality.
  • Meets with business stakeholders to understand needs, document processes, and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Deep understanding of PeopleSoft functionality and the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in PeopleSoft.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in accounting, advanced credentials such as a CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting and close management within a large, multi-entity healthcare or similarly regulated organization.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, consolidated reporting, and healthcare compliance requirements, including audit and regulatory standards.
  • Proven ability to optimize close and reporting processes through system-driven solutions, governance, and standardization.
  • Hands-on expertise with PeopleSoft and BlackLine, including system ownership, user administration, controls, and continuous enhancement.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing accounting teams while partnering effectively with executives, auditors, IT, and operational stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership in guiding, mentoring, and holin identifying inefficiencies, strengthening controls, and implementing practical process improvements that deliver measurable results.
  • Effective collaborator with technology teams and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues, support initiatives, and improve data integrity.
  • Clear and professional communicator with the judgment to tailor messaging to diverse audiences and organizational levels.
  • Consistent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
