Pail Lead-Filler at OMNI INDUSTRIES INC – Shreveport, Louisiana

Job Summary:The Pail Filler Lead is responsible for overseeing daily pail filling operations to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate packaging of specialty products. This role leads a small team, maintains quality standards, and ensures production goals are met while following all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate pail filling operations during assigned shifts

Monitor filling equipment to ensure proper operation, accuracy, and product quality

Assign tasks and provide guidance to pail fillers to maintain productivity and workflow

Verify correct labeling, sealing, and packaging of filled pails according to specifications

Perform quality checks on filled products and address any discrepancies immediately

Ensure compliance with safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards

Maintain accurate production, batch, and inventory records

Assist with troubleshooting minor equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed

Train new employees on pail filling procedures, safety practices, and quality standards

Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance, and quality control teams

Qualifications:

Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or chemical processing preferred

Prior lead or supervisory experience a plus

Knowledge of safety procedures and quality control standards

Ability to operate packaging or filling equipment

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to lift, stand, and work in a fast-paced industrial environment
