About the Role:
Tramontina Canada is hiring for a Warehouse Manager at our new facility in East Oakville Ontario. The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the efficient operation of warehouse facilities within the distribution / warehousing industry. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse activities including inventory control, shipping and receiving, and staff supervision to ensure smooth and timely distribution of goods. The Warehouse Manager will develop and implement operational procedures that optimize productivity while maintaining safety and compliance with regulatory standards. They will collaborate closely with logistics, transportation teams, and external partners to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments effectively. Ultimately, this role ensures that warehouse operations support the broader organizational goals of cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 -7 years of experience in warehouse operations with at least 4 year in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards applicable to warehouse environments.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related discipline.
- Experience in the transportation and warehousing industry, particularly within the Canadian market.
- Certification such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
- Proficiency with advanced warehouse technologies including automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS).
- Knowledge using SAP (WM/MM) modules for inventory tracking and order processing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to maintain a motivated and efficient team.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations such as receiving, storing, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage inventory control systems to track stock levels, conduct regular audits, and minimize discrepancies or losses.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to optimize shipment schedules and warehouse layout for maximum operational efficiency.
- Analyze warehouse performance metrics and prepare reports to identify areas for process improvements and cost reduction.
- Maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to streamline operations.
- Use SAP and excel to analyze workflow data, improve warehouse layout, reduce lead time and optimize storage density.
- Approve time sheets for direct report using ADP platform

Analytical skills are essential for monitoring inventory levels, interpreting performance data, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. Proficiency with warehouse management systems and related technology enables the manager to streamline workflows and maintain accurate records. Problem-solving skills are critical when addressing operational challenges such as shipment delays or equipment malfunctions. Additionally, negotiation and vendor management skills support cost-effective procurement and maintenance of warehouse resources. Hands on WHS Manager.
