Job Description:
The primary function of the Field Coordinator is to provide support to facility engineering, design teams, construction teams, and facility internal customers to ensure the install of new semiconductor tools and general facility electrical infrastructure meets project requirements. The Field Coordinator also supports the facility engineering and design teams by collecting field measurements and data. In factory field review of vertical/multi floor piping based on tool schematics is required. Updating task lists for status of completed items at the end of the day is expected. Dimensioning in auto-CAD to create design as-is to confirm to field conditions is required. Regular usage of tape measurer for accuracy to the millimeter as well as vertical laser leveler for distance measurement points is required.
Education or Experience Requirements:
- Associates or Technical School, Field of Study: Mechanical, Piping, HVAC or Electrical systems or related field a plus.
- Experience or training with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar CAD/3D CAD training, experience is a plus but not required.
- General understanding of metric/imperial systems of measurement for distance/volume
- 1-5 years related industry experience.
General Requirements:
Field construction and/or coordination experience in industrial facilities assisting engineering and design teams with field measurements and installation planning of mechanical, plumbing, piping systems with one or more of the following:
- Comfortable in wearing PPE (hard hat, boots, glasses, high viz vest) as well as wearing clean room/bunny suit over street clothes
- Knowledge of piping system sizes, types and materials of construction and connection types.
- Knowledge of civil and structural installation requirements.
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment installation and connections.
- Knowledge of electrical system installations a plus but this role is primarily mechanical systems.
- Experience in installation or maintenance of semiconductor equipment, facility tool hookup, installation, and construction experience a plus.
- Experience in installation or maintenance of industrial equipment, automotive, or electronics original equipment manufacturing facilities is applicable.
- Construction coordination and problem solving in industrial manufacturing facilities.
Duties/Requirements
- Coordinate with multiple departments for tool placement and facilities hook up collaborative field review walks
- Able to read and understand mechanical blueprints and vendor data cut-sheets to understand tool dimensions and configuration
- Equipment verifications by reading blueprints, using tape measure and lasers.
- Visualize potential installation issues and provide solutions to direct supervisor.
- Familiar with construction methods for obtaining accurate measurements.
- Familiar with Excel and Power Point to provide daily/weekly updates for on-going task lists.
- Assist with as-built mark-ups of installations.
- Semiconductor tool hook up is a plus! (not required)

This position is primarily in an office environment. However, field investigation of in-plant piping, civil, structural, or mechanical equipment requires the ability to don personnel protective equipment (PPE) such as flame-retardant clothing (FRC), hart hat, safety eyewear, safety footwear, fall protection harnesses or other specialty PPE.
