Background on R&T:

Founded in 1974, R&T Deposit Solutions is a privately held financial technology company based in New York City. A recognized leader in the administration of insured deposit programs, R&T serves over 350 banks and financial institutions with over $179* Billion in assets under administration (AUA).

In 2022, with the support of Estancia Capital Management, R&T acquired Total Financial Solutions, expanding its product offerings, increasing the depth of its management team and operational capabilities. In August 2023, R&T received a strategic investment from GTCR, which acquired a 50% equity stake. The investment by GTCR in R&T is intended to further support and sustain R&T’s high rate of growth in its expanded deposit insurance programs, while also investing in further strengthening leadership, governance, risk management, and technology infrastructure.

Client Services Summary:

Client Services at R&T plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for our clients, from onboarding through ongoing support. The team is responsible for client success management, technical integrations, and the resolution of inquiries, working closely with Product, IT, and Relationship Management to drive client satisfaction and operational efficiency. By centralizing support, implementation, and client success functions, Client Services helps clients maximize the value of R&T’s solutions.

Position Summary:

The Client Services Intern will gain hands-on experience in financial technology, client support, and process improvement. This role offers exposure to core client service functions, including support triaging, onboarding processes, and client account management best practices. Additionally, the intern will contribute to process improvement projects, client experience analysis, and documentation clean-up efforts to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. This internship is ideal for students interested in fintech, financial services, and client operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day client services activities, including responding to inquiries, tracking requests, and assisting with issue resolution
  • Assist with process improvement projects, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency
  • Conduct client experience research, gathering insights to optimize service delivery and customer interactions
  • Organize and update client documentation, including FAQs, internal knowledge bases, and onboarding materials
  • Shadow client support and implementation team members to gain insight into client onboarding, training, and support workflows
  • Contribute to reporting and data analysis, helping track key performance metrics for client services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, IT, and Sales, to ensure alignment on client needs
  • Assist in testing and feedback collection for client self-service tools and automation initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools
  • Interest in financial technology, client services, and process improvement
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in customer service, financial services, or project management (preferred but not required)

This is a paid internship. Interns are paid a range of $20-22 per hour. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a hybrid internship based in Midtown Manhattan. The R&T Internship Program runs from approximately June 1, 2026 through August 7, 2026.
