Commis (Fine Dining Restaurant)
Job DescriptionWe are partnering with a prestigious luxury hospitality group to recruit professional and service-oriented Commis Chefs to join an elite restaurant operation.
This role is ideal for culinary enthusiasts who are passionate about delivering refined service, understand luxury standards, and take pride in creating memorable guest experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in daily food preparation and basic cooking tasks under the supervision of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
Prepare ingredients according to standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the kitchen and assigned workstations.
Follow food safety, HACCP, and sanitation standards at all times.
Support food production during service periods to ensure timely and consistent quality.
Properly store food items and ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
Assist with basic plating and presentation as required.
Carry out tasks assigned by senior chefs to support smooth kitchen operations.
Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar kitchen role within a Fine Dining or High-End restaurant, Michelin-starred establishment, or a signature restaurant within a 5-star luxury hotel.
Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and cooking techniques.
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and follow instructions from senior chefs.
Strong teamwork skills with a positive and professional attitude.
Good personal hygiene and attention to cleanliness.
Willingness to work shift schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
