Kitchen Helper(Fine Dining Restaurant) Job Description
We are partnering with a prestigious luxury hospitality group to recruit professional and service-oriented Kitchen Helpers to join an elite restaurant operation.
This role is ideal for culinary enthusiasts who are passionate about delivering refined service, understand luxury standards, and take pride in creating memorable guest experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesWash, peel, chop, and trim vegetables, fruits, and proteins according to the daily prep list and 5-star size specifications.
Assist Cook or Commis Chefs with foundational tasks such as boiling, blanching, straining stocks, and simple cold-plate assembly.
Help organize workstations with necessary tools and ingredients before service begins to ensure a smooth workflow.
Follow strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures in line with luxury hotel SOPs.
Handle all hotel property (porcelain, glass, and silver) with extreme care to minimize breakage and assist in periodic inventory counts of operating equipment.
Support the culinary and F&B teams by maintaining a constant supply of clean, sanitized, and well-organized equipment, ensuring no delays during high-volume service periods.
Maintain knowledge of various cleaning agents and their proper applications to ensure the longevity of expensive kitchen surfaces and machinery.
Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Kitchen Helper, Prep Cook, or in a similar support role within a Fine Dining or High-End restaurant, Michelin-starred establishment, or a signature restaurant within a 5-star luxury hotel.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written; additional language skills are an advantage.
Strong foundational understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and basic food safety (HACCP); must be proficient in handling professional F&B equipment and sharp kitchen tools.
Physically fit with the endurance to stand for long shifts and perform repetitive tasks (chopping, lifting, and organizing) in a high-temperature kitchen environment.
Meticulous approach to "Mise-en-Place," ensuring all vegetables and proteins are cut to exact chef specifications every single time.
Exceptional teamwork and communication skills, with a proactive "can-do" attitude and the ability to support various kitchen sections during peak hours.
