This leadership role is focused on supporting pediatric patients with complex medical and behavioral health needs through coordinated medication management and care navigation services.
The position combines operational leadership, patient support, and team supervision within a collaborative, technology-enabled healthcare environment dedicated to improving outcomes for children and families.
The successful candidate will oversee a team of Medication Support Navigators while remaining actively involved in patient care coordination, medication access support, and workflow optimization.
Working closely with clinical pharmacy leadership and cross-functional care teams, this role helps ensure operational excellence, quality standards, and compassionate patient engagement.

Accountabilities:
  • Supervise and support the Medication Support Navigator team, including scheduling, workload balancing, performance management, onboarding, and ongoing staff development.
  • Coordinate medication-related referrals and ensure timely completion of patient support activities and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, care coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care and medication management initiatives.
  • Assist caregivers and patients in navigating medication access challenges involving pharmacies, insurance providers, and pharmacy benefit managers.
  • Maintain oversight of operational quality standards through performance monitoring, quality checks, and process optimization efforts.
  • Lead operational huddles and support continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with pharmacy leadership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for medication support workflows, operational procedures, and care coordination processes.
  • Facilitate pharmacist appointment scheduling and support referral follow-up activities to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support compliance with certification, registration, and operational requirements across assigned regions and states.
  • Contribute to the implementation of workflow improvements, staff competency initiatives, and operational best practices.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current accredited pharmacy technician certification (such as PTCB) with ongoing maintenance of certification required.
  • Active pharmacy technician registration with applicable state boards as required by law.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a certified pharmacy technician.
  • At least 3 years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience leading pharmacy technician teams within call center or ambulatory clinic environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in virtual or remote team environments preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic health record systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality patient support and operational performance.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English highly preferred.
  • Passion for pediatric healthcare, patient advocacy, and collaborative team environments.
