Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented Patient Service Specialist to join our Urology team. The Patient Service Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in creating a positive patient experience. This position is responsible for front office operations including patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, phone management, and coordination of administrative support for the urology practice.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment while maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism.

• Greet and check in/check out patients in a courteous and professional manner
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls appropriately
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and authorizations
• Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments accurately
• Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR)
• Assist patients with completing intake and registration forms
• Coordinate referrals, imaging appointments, and specialist consultations as needed
• Ensure accurate scanning and filing of patient documentation
• Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and patients regarding scheduling and administrative needs
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Monitor waiting areas and ensure a positive patient experience
• Assist with additional administrative duties as assigned by management

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year of medical front office, patient access, or healthcare customer service experience preferred
• Urology or specialty practice experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes preferred
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient computer and phone skills

• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
