Job Description
Job Overview:
The Business Analytics & Operations Intern will support the Aftermarket team by analyzing sales performance,
inventory management processes, customer demand patterns, and SAP business processes. This role offers
hands-on experience in business analytics, operational finance, supply chain analysis, and enterprise systems
while contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at improving sales growth, inventory efficiency, and
operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze aftermarket sales trends, customer purchasing patterns, and product performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop sales dashboards and performance reports to track revenue, order intake, and customer activity.
- Conduct market and customer analysis to identify gaps in product offerings and opportunities to increase aftermarket sales.
- Support the sales team with data-driven insights for customer engagement and business development activities.
- Analyze inventory levels, stock movements, and product usage trends to improve inventory availability and turnover.
- Review reorder points, safety stock levels, and inventory planning parameters to optimize inventory investment.
- Identify slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in inventory reconciliation and inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.
- Generate inventory performance metrics and reports for management review.
- Support cross-functional projects involving Sales, Operations, Inventory Control, Procurement, and Finance.
- Develop expertise in SAP modules supporting sales, inventory, procurement, and warehouse operations.
- Create reports and dashboards utilizing SAP data to support operational and financial decision-making.
Learning Outcomes:
- Gain practical experience in commercial analytics, inventory management, ERP systems, and business operations.
- Develop advanced analytical, reporting, forecasting, and process improvement skills.
- Build hands-on knowledge of SAP and its application in manufacturing and aftermarket operations.
- Strengthen business communication and presentation skills through interaction with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Interest in data analytics, business operations, finance, and enterprise systems.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based, and climate-controlled environments
- May require extended hours during peak sourcing or implementation periods.
