We're looking for an Assistant Business Manager to join our Nichols Hills Pet Care Center opening in September 2026! This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant who is ready to take the next step in their career by combining hands-on patient care with operational leadership.
As an Assistant Business Manager, you'll play a critical role in the success of the Pet Care Center by supporting daily operations, coaching and developing teammates, driving clinic performance, and serving as the on-site leader when the Business Manager is away. At the same time, you'll continue working alongside the medical team, delivering excellent patient care and leading by example on the clinic floor.

Clinical Leadership
Deliver high-quality patient care, including diagnostics, treatment support, surgical preparation, and anesthesia monitoringAssist with radiology, dentistry, laboratory diagnostics, and medical documentationEducate pet parents on treatment plans, medications, and preventive carePromote Fear Free and low-stress handling techniquesLead by example through strong technical skills and medical excellenceSupport training and development of Veterinary Assistants and Veterinary TechniciansChampion Petfolk initiatives and help drive key clinic performance metricsOperations & Business Leadership
Support daily Pet Care Center operations and serve as the acting clinic leader when the Business Manager is unavailableFacilitate team huddles and help manage daily appointment flowMonitor clinic performance metrics and support operational improvementsAssist with staffing coordination, scheduling adjustments, and workflow managementAddress client concerns with empathy, professionalism, and accountabilitySupport inventory management, facility readiness, and regulatory complianceHelp maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for pets, clients, and teammatesTeam Development & Culture
Provide coaching, mentorship, and real-time support to teammatesReinforce Petfolk standards, SOPs, and service expectationsAssist with working interviews, onboarding, and team trainingFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementHelp create an exceptional experience for every pet parent who walks through our doorsWhat We're Looking For
3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical settingPrevious clinical leadership experience requiredStrong technical skills and confidence in patient care, diagnostics, and anesthesia supportExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to coach, mentor, and motivate teammatesComfortable balancing clinical responsibilities with operational leadershipAdaptable, proactive, and solutions-orientedFear Free Certification is a plusWhat You'll Get
