What You'll Do

  • Lead and execute fundraising strategies that increase support from individuals, businesses, foundations, and community partners.
  • Build, manage, and grow relationships with major donors and prospective supporters.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward significant philanthropic gifts.
  • Expand corporate sponsorships and strategic community partnerships.
  • Partner with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to advance fundraising initiatives.
  • Develop donor engagement and stewardship strategies that strengthen long-term support.
  • Oversee fundraising operations, donor data management, reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor fundraising results and implement strategies to achieve growth goals.
  • Represent VOA Eastern Washington throughout the community as a trusted ambassador for the organization.
  • Help foster a culture of philanthropy and community engagement.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in fundraising, development, business development, sales, or relationship management.
  • Experience cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors, clients, customers, or strategic partners.
  • Experience developing and implementing growth strategies.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the service area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, or foundation funding.
  • Experience working in nonprofit, healthcare, human services, or community-focused organizations.
  • Experience using donor database or CRM systems.
  • CFRE certification or equivalent fundraising credential.
