Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)
Tribal Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for an experienced Emergency Nurse to work in a 24/7 rural Emergency Department and Level IV Basic Trauma Center serving the community and surrounding area. The ideal RN is confident managing a diverse patient population and comfortable assessing, treating, and stabilizing patients with both routine and higher-acuity emergency conditions.
This is a Night position working three shifts per week, with every other weekend coverage
What You'll Do
- Provide emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan, from pediatric through geriatric populations
- Perform rapid assessments and triage based on patient acuity
- Care for patients presenting with trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, infectious, behavioral health, and other acute conditions
- Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate emergency interventions
- Assist with stabilization and transfer of critically ill or injured patients requiring a higher level of care
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency medications as ordered
- Initiate and manage IV access and obtain laboratory specimens
- Perform cardiac monitoring and identify significant rhythm changes
- Assist providers with emergency procedures
- Provide wound care, splinting, and other emergency nursing interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, EMS, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other members of the healthcare team
- Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and follow-up information
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide compassionate, culturally respectful care to patients and families
What We're Looking For
- Active RN license NE or Compact
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC
- Strong emergency assessment and triage skills for all ages
