Job Description

Description:

The Director of Sales – Strategic Accounts is responsible for growing strategic commercial and industrial (C&I) end-user accounts across the United States. This is a hunter-oriented, quotacarrying role responsible for acquiring, developing, and expanding direct relationships with enterprise customers that own and operate multiple facilities.

Working directly with owners and operators of commercial, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, retail, logistics, manufacturing, higher education, and other multi-site organizations, this leader will help customers reduce operating costs, improve energy performance, electrify transportation, modernize aging electrical infrastructure, improve resiliency, and achieve their sustainability and operational objectives through integrated infrastructure solutions.

Rather than selling individual products, the Director will position Charge as a long-term strategic infrastructure partner by delivering integrated solutions including energy efficiency, EV charging and fleet electrification, lighting, power quality, electrical infrastructure upgrades, distributed energy resources (DER), backup power, and related electrical contracting services. The objective is to develop long-term strategic accounts that generate recurring, multi-site projects across Charge Energy's full portfolio of capabilities.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify, acquire, and grow strategic enterprise accounts with multi-site facility portfolios.
  • Build executive relationships with corporate real estate, facilities, operations, sustainability, procurement, finance, and C-suite leaders.
  • Lead consultative, solution-based sales engagements from prospecting through contract execution.
  • Develop enterprise-wide roadmaps that incorporate energy efficiency, EV charging, lighting, electrical infrastructure modernization, resiliency, and power quality solutions.
  • Expand customer relationships across multiple facilities, business units, and geographic regions.
  • Position Charge as a long-term strategic infrastructure partner rather than a single-project contractor.
  • Structure opportunities utilizing rebates, incentives, financing, PPAs, ESAs, or other commercial structures where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, finance, legal, and project management to deliver technically sound and commercially compelling proposals.
  • Maintain accurate CRM forecasts, pipeline activity, and sales reporting.
  • Represent Charge Energy Solutions at executive customer meetings, trade associations, and industry events.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of successful enterprise B2B sales experience in commercial energy, electrical infrastructure, EPC, facility services, or related markets.
  • Demonstrated success developing strategic enterprise accounts and selling directly to end-user organizations with multiple facilities.
  • Experience closing complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure or capital improvement projects.
  • Strong executive presence with experience engaging C-suite, finance, facilities, operations, procurement, and sustainability leaders.
  • Working knowledge of energy efficiency, EV charging, electrical infrastructure, lighting, DER, resiliency, or related technologies.
  • Experience navigating complex buying organizations and long enterprise sales cycles.
  • Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM and pipeline management tools.

Core Competencies

  • Strategic Account Development
  • Enterprise Solution Selling
  • Executive Relationship Management
  • Financial & ROI-Based Selling
  • Complex Infrastructure Sales
  • Cross-Functional Leadership

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience selling enterprise-wide infrastructure programs to manufacturers, healthcare systems, universities, hospitality companies, retailers, logistics providers, REITs, commercial real estate organizations, and other owners or operators of multi-site facilities.
