Schedule:

Primarily day shift, and may require weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Overview:

Olgoonik is looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Receiving Clerk to support warehouse receiving and shipping operations for Government-owned products. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will prepare and process receiving and shipping documentation, verify material against manifests and supporting documents, enter and maintain information in warehouse systems, and coordinate with warehouse personnel, carriers, and Government representatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Processes receiving and shipping documentation.
  • Verifies incoming and outgoing material against manifests, bills of lading, packing lists, and other documentation.
  • Records shortages, overages, damages, and other discrepancies.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate warehouse records.
  • Enters and retrieves information using WMS and other computer systems.
  • Coordinates with warehouse personnel to ensure material is properly received, stored, staged, and shipped.
  • Reviews documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintains records of receipts, shipments, inventory movements, and discrepancies.
  • Communicates with drivers, carriers, warehouse personnel, supervisors, and Government representatives.
  • Assists with researching shipment and receiving discrepancies.
  • Ensures required documentation is completed and distributed within established timeframes.
  • Maintains organized files and records.
  • Follows all applicable warehouse, safety, security, and documentation procedures.
  • Supports other administrative and warehouse functions as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous clerical, warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or supply experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping, receiving, and warehouse documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, extended hours, and overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) or Department of Defense experience.
  • DLA WMS experience.
  • Experience with warehouse receiving and shipping documentation.
  • Experience working in a high-volume distribution or warehouse environment.
  • Experience with Government supply systems.
