Job Description

  • GENERAL SUMMARY
    • The Digital Communications Specialist Senior leads and supports the development, enhancement, and ongoing evaluation of enterprise-wide corporate communications and digital marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organizational strategic priorities. This is a senior level role responsible for advancing digital engagement, strengthening brand presence, and optimizing audience experience across various digital channels. Reports to departmental leadership.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Leads and supports the planning and execution of enterprise-wide, multi-channel digital communications initiatives (e.g., email, web, intranet, and social media), including guidance on messaging and channel approach for internal and external audiences.
    • Assists in managing content planning and editorial calendars, aligning with organizational initiatives, campaigns, and seasonal priorities.
    • Oversees the execution of social media advertising campaigns across platforms, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), managing audience targeting, ad placement, and campaign setup.
    • Leads the public-facing digital experience strategy, with a strong focus on search visibility, discoverability, and performance (SEO/GEO).
    • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop high-quality content for digital and print that supports departmental and organizational priorities, while reinforcing CHKD’s brand identity.
    • Leads projects from concept through execution, including timelines, approvals, and deliverables.
    • Ensures consistency in messaging, branding, and tone across all digital channels in alignment with CHKD’s voice, visual identity, and editorial standards.
    • Monitors and analyzes content performance metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, impressions), providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Leads and contributes to the development and continuous improvement of digital communications processes, standards, and best practices.
    • Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.
    • Oversees and coordinates the execution of multiple, diverse projects simultaneously.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

  • MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    • Required Education and Experience
      • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
      • At least three years of experience in corporate communications, digital content management, advertising, or a related role.
    • Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
      • Demonstrated experience leading multi-channel communications initiatives and managing projects from concept through execution.
      • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strength in editing, organization, and project management.
      • Ability to independently manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
