Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Maintains cleaning the building and grounds of property.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, or GED, with 1 to 2 years’ related work experience preferred. Possession of maintenance experience is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have basic industrial maintenance and safety knowledge
• Knowledge of maintenance equipment
• Knowledge and understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and requirements
• Skill in being a self-starter with effective organizational skills
• Skill in effectively managing deadlines with conflicting priorities
• Skill in effective communication
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate attention to detail and flexibility
• Successfully pass a background check, including criminal history, drug screen, physical, audiogram, and vision test.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be responsible for assisting with the troubleshooting, resolution, and repair of a variety of maintenance-related duties. This position will also be responsible for the safe performance of job specifications, including but not limited to:
1. The ability to clean and supply restrooms, including but not limited to washing and sanitizing toilets, sinks, and mirrors; removing trash; and restocking disposables. The ability to also service breakrooms and conference rooms, front lobby and offices at both site facilities (shop and main building)
2. The ability to clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming.
3. The ability to gather and empty facility trash into the facility dumpster.
4. The ability to maintain a current inventory of all cleaning and maintenance materials.
5. The ability to assist in performing inspection and extensive cleaning of all production equipment, engineering equipment, special projects equipment, and office equipment.
6. The ability to assist in performing minor plumbing repairs (sinks, toilets, water heaters, and supply lines) with oversight and direction from the maintenance supervisor and provided that the employee has completed the necessary training
7. The ability to maintain a clean and organized tool room and maintenance supplies.
8. The ability to ensure each work area is properly clean and items appropriately stored.
9. The ability to assist with set-up for special events
10. The ability to perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Full-time shop exposure.
2. Extreme temperatures. (Sometimes due to season).
3. No travel requirements.
4. Perform work standing up for 8-10 hours per day and up to 6 days a week.
5. Good vision, hearing, smell, and balance.
6. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
7. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders.
SHIFT: MONDAY - FRIDAY AND SATURDAYS AS NEEDED. 6 AM - 4:30 PM
SHIFT HOURS PER WEEK: 40 - 55 HOURS
