Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
While upholding Hoyt’s Policies and Mission and Values Statements, the Credit Analyst handles completing credit inquiries for new and existing accounts and monitoring and collection of domestic and foreign accounts.
Temporary Assignment: August through December
Hours: Full-time or Part-time, up to 40 hours per week
Schedule: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
I – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Monitors and collects on domestic and foreign accounts: Assists dealers in processing payments daily, applying credits and other adjustments. Maintains a current payment record on accounts.
Customer Service: Assists dealers with questions on their account via phone calls and e-mails. Ability to research customer balances and pass on that information to customers.
Processes new account applications: Reviews and verifies accuracy of credit applications, ensuring required information is complete, i.e., signed applications, dealer agreements, tax licenses, etc. May perform necessary due diligence to mitigate risk. May also pull credit reports and request credit references; therefore, confidentiality is needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
II – JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This position requires:
l Knowledge of credit and collection methods.
l Computer skills in Business Central (Preferred, but not required.)
l Excel and Word (intermediate level)
l Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective business writing skills.
l Ability to organize files and keep good records for future reference and use.
l Ten-key by touch.
Training and Education:
Type of Training
Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management or equivalent experience.

Note: Management reserves the right to require specific training for this position. However, depending upon the type and the quality of prior work experience, exchanges may be made between training and experience.
III – QUALITY AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Decision Making and Problem Solving:
This position requires the ability to work within general guidelines and policies and to decide how to apply these guidelines to resolve credit issues.
Interaction with Others:
Internally, there are daily interactions with sales, account services, shipping, production, warranty, and other internal departments, as required. Externally, this individual has daily contact with customers, occasionally under difficult circumstances.
Supervisory and Leadership Responsibilities:
None.
iV - Working Environment:
Physical environment – This position spends much of the time in an office environment at a desk with potential exposure to wrist and eye strain from computer use. Some time may be spent in production with limited exposure to slips, falls, dust and noise.
Physical environment - Position can be stressful when dealing with disgruntled or financially challenged customers. Must meet deadlines so that shipments are not held up. Interruptions are very frequent and may make it difficult to resume work.
