Job Title: Inventory Control Clerk 2 (Job Code: INV2)
Job Function: Inventory Control
Job Overview:
The Inventory Control Clerk performs the administrative and physical tasks involved in inventory control, reconciliation, and inventory transactions; reports to Inventory Control Supervisor and is located in Newark, CA.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Perform inventory administrative tasks
1. Input cycle counts and verify inventory accuracy, reconcile variances, analyze inventory discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments and suggest corrective actions
2. In cooperation with Finance, reconcile the high-level inventory discrepancies
3. Coordinate inventory transactions and compliance with approval matrix; transact returned material
4. Coordinate RTV activities with Purchasing
5. Consistently apply all standard operating procedures, as well as ESD and manufacturing requirements for parts quality
Perform inventory physical tasks
1. Move material with use of carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks
2. Coordinate and perform the activities of stockroom (kitting, cycle count, material movements and requests), maintain inventory locations and make adjustments as needed
Assist in Warehouse tasks
Assist Kitting, Planning and Manufacturing with completing kits, issuing and delivering material per production schedule, as well as backfilling material shortages
Provide team support
1. Demonstrate work methods to new hires,
2. Share best practices, assist in minor troubleshooting
3. Actively participate in cross-training
Other duties and responsibilities related to inventory control, as assigned
Key Tools and Technology:
1. MIS/MRP/ERP systems (Oracle)
2. Carts, pallet jacks and forklift
3. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
4. Smocks and ESD shoe straps
5. Material handling and preservation equipment; vacuum sealer, vacuum pens, scale counter, tape/reel counter, barcode scanner, ESD/MSL packaging
6. Data load software (inventory field population)
Required Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Minimum one year of related experience and/or training

4. Importance of being accurate regarding cycle count, shipping information and data entry
