Medical Receptionist - Pain Management
Full-Time | $20-$24/hour | Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM-4:30 PM

What You'll Do
As a Medical Receptionist, you'll provide front-office and administrative support while helping create a smooth, welcoming experience for patients.
- Check patients in and out, register patients, and collect copays and deposits
- Answer, direct, and manage incoming calls in a friendly, professional manner
- Schedule and reschedule appointments, manage waitlists, and offer earlier openings when available
- Schedule follow-up appointments at checkout or document why an appointment could not be scheduled
- Work in EMR systems daily, creating charts, updating records, and filing documentation
- Prepare new-patient paperwork, insurance cards, privacy notices, forms, and consents
- Obtain and document patient information, including medical histories, vital signs, and test results
- Maintain the confidentiality, security, and organization of electronic medical records
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain necessary supplies
- Provide courteous, compassionate assistance to patients and families
- Follow facility guidelines and healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Complete required annual training and perform other duties as assigned
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of administrative experience
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Previous healthcare facility experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Understanding of clerical procedures, recordkeeping, and filing
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality requirements
- Familiarity with medical terminology, spelling, and office ethics
