This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant revenue accounting across customer contracts, billing, and financial reporting.
You’ll oversee revenue recognition activities and monthly close processes in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
The position requires strong expertise in US GAAP and ASC 606, combined with analytical and contract-review skills.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve billing and revenue matters and improve accounting workflows.
The role also provides an opportunity to contribute to revenue-system implementations and ongoing process optimization.
You’ll play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, strong internal controls, and audit readiness.

- Oversee revenue recognition processes in accordance with ASC 606, US GAAP, and established accounting policies.
- Review customer contracts in both CRM and general ledger systems to determine appropriate revenue recognition and ensure accurate billing and revenue reporting.
- Perform monthly revenue close activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed variance analysis.
- Analyze deferred revenue balances and ensure transactions receive the appropriate accounting treatment.
- Monitor revenue schedules and billing arrangements to identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improved accuracy.
- Support financial and external audits by preparing revenue schedules, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and responses to auditor requests.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and established revenue accounting procedures.
- Identify opportunities to streamline revenue processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen the accuracy and consistency of financial reporting.
- Support the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of revenue accounting systems and related workflows.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve revenue and billing issues and improve end-to-end processes.
- Strong professional experience in revenue accounting, with a demonstrated understanding of revenue recognition principles under ASC 606 and US GAAP.
- Experience reviewing customer contracts and translating contractual terms into appropriate billing and revenue recognition treatment.
- Hands-on experience with monthly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue analysis, and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies and determine appropriate accounting solutions.
- Experience working with CRM, general ledger, and revenue accounting systems, with the ability to support system implementation and optimization initiatives.
- Understanding of internal controls and experience supporting financial audits.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate accounting requirements clearly to non-accounting stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A continuous-improvement mindset with an interest in simplifying and strengthening revenue accounting processes.
- Annual base salary of $82,500–$104,000, with final compensation determined by skills, education, experience, and work location.
- Eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base compensation.
