Position Overview:
Employee health provides employee health services such as post-offer health screenings, drug testing, and supports additional department programs including Workers Compensation, occupational health, wellness and HR entities.

Key Responsibilities:
Development, implementation and education of effective employee health programs and policies throughout the health system. Investigates and tracks employee exposures and any needed follow-up care of the staff, volunteers and physicians. Conducts pre-employment screenings of employees, providers and agency personnel. Tracks immunization status of all personnel and provides immunizations as warranted. Meets with all employees during the orientation process and as needed on an annual basis for administration of necessary TB skin tests, immunizations and respirator fit testing. Tracks and provides follow-up processes with employees exposed to or with confirmed communicable diseases. Prepares data reports to present to the Patient Safety/Performance Improvement Committee. Acts as a consultant and resource to system and medical staff. Assists the Infection Control Practitioner as needed with vaccination clinics, data collection for regulatory agencies, and audits of staff compliance.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in North Carolina. Two years current clinical experience. Current certification in BCLS. Knowledge in Quality, ability to relate well to all levels of staff, management and Medical Staff. Must possess and utilize skills to evaluate, teach, supervise and act as a resource in all facets of the position. Strong broad-based clinical knowledge a must. Abilities to work with minimal supervision a must. Strong computer database skills preferred.
