About the role

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Origin, you are a core member of the Clinical Patient Care team and an important part of our whole-body approach to women’s health.

You provide high-quality orthopedic and musculoskeletal physical therapy while working in close collaboration with Origin’s pelvic health physical therapists. Together, you address the interconnected orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and pelvic health needs of women across all ages and stages of life.

Your care may support patients experiencing musculoskeletal conditions throughout adolescence and adulthood, as well as during pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, aging, and other life transitions.

Your work involves direct patient care, collaboration with pelvic health and other clinicians, patient education, and participation in a positive and supportive clinic environment. You will evaluate and treat orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions while recognizing when pelvic health factors may contribute to a patient’s symptoms, function, or recovery.

You will collaborate with pelvic health physical therapists when patients would benefit from integrated care, helping create a seamless experience rather than treating orthopedic and pelvic health concerns in isolation.

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Origin, you are responsible for:

Delivering high-quality, evidence-based orthopedic and musculoskeletal physical therapy carePerforming comprehensive orthopedic evaluations and creating individualized plans of careTreating musculoskeletal conditions involving the spine and extremities, including pain, mobility limitations, weakness, injury, post-operative rehabilitation, and return to activityProviding care that considers the unique musculoskeletal needs of women throughout adolescence, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, and healthy agingRecognizing the relationship between orthopedic and pelvic health conditions and identifying when collaboration with a pelvic health physical therapist may improve patient outcomesCollaborating with pelvic health physical therapists to develop coordinated plans of care for patients with overlapping orthopedic and pelvic health needsReferring internally to pelvic health physical therapists when specialized pelvic floor evaluation or treatment is indicatedCoordinating treatment progression and goals when a patient is receiving care from both orthopedic and pelvic health cliniciansHelping patients safely return to the activities that matter to them, including work, exercise, recreation, caregiving, athletics, and daily lifeEducating patients about their condition, treatment options, movement, exercise, injury prevention, and self-managementProgressing plans of care based on patient outcomes, functional goals, and clinical judgmentCompleting documentation in a timely and compliant mannerCollaborating with clinic coordinators and the broader care team to provide an exceptional patient experienceParticipating in team huddles, mentorship, case collaboration, and professional developmentSupporting a welcoming and inclusive environment for patients and teammates

What you’ll achieve

At Origin, we recognize that the body does not operate in separate systems. Musculoskeletal and pelvic health conditions frequently intersect, and patients benefit when clinicians work together.

An orthopedic patient experiencing low back, hip, pelvic, abdominal, or lower-extremity symptoms may benefit from pelvic health expertise. Similarly, a pelvic health patient may benefit from orthopedic expertise to address strength, mobility, movement, pain, injury, or return to higher-level activity.

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will actively collaborate with pelvic health clinicians to identify these opportunities and provide coordinated care.
