Job Description – Special Orders
Job Type: Full-time

Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join
our team as a Special Orders Clerk. The ideal candidate will have experience identifying customer needs,
sourcing and fulfilling special orders, and assisting customers with selecting the appropriate boat parts
and marine products. This position requires excellent customer service and communication skills, strong
attention to detail, and the ability to accurately determine and fulfill customers’ specific requirements. The
successful candidate should be knowledgeable about marine parts and products and have previous
experience in the marine industry.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service by identifying customer needs and assisting with special-order
parts and products.
Work closely with customers to understand repair requirements and accurately identify the specific
parts needed to complete the job.
Research, source, and locate hard-to-find, discontinued, or special-order marine parts through
various vendors and suppliers.
Process and submit special orders accurately and efficiently, while monitoring orders through the
purchasing and delivery process.
Coordinate delivery and pickup arrangements with customers and ensure orders are available as
promised.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer orders and provide timely updates regarding
order status, availability, and expected delivery dates.
Collaborate closely with the Sales Team and other departments to ensure customer orders are
processed and fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
Previous experience in the marine industry is required, with knowledge of marine parts and
products strongly preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with
customers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also working effectively as part of a
team.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
