Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Fiduciary Wealth Advisor / Trust Officer to join our Wealth Management Team. This individual will serve as a trusted relationship manager and fiduciary professional for high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, estates, guardianships and related fiduciary accounts. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical trust administration experience, sound judgment, excellent client service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, investment professionals, and internal team members.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Administer a portfolio of personal trusts, special needs trusts, guardianship accounts, estates, investment management accounts, agency accounts, and other fiduciary relationships in accordance with governing documents, applicable law, fiduciary standards, and company policies.
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, co-trustees, attorneys, accountants, and other professional advisors.
  3. Review and interpret trust documents, Wills, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents to ensure proper administration and compliance.
  4. Evaluate and process discretionary distribution requests, including gathering relevant information, documenting decisions, and coordinating approvals as appropriate.
  5. Coordinate account openings, asset transfers, bill payment, tax reporting, account reviews, and ongoing administrative requirements.
  6. Partner with portfolio managers, wealth advisors, operations, compliance, and outside counsel to provide comprehensive fiduciary and wealth management solutions.
  7. Maintain accurate account records, correspondence, and documentation in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory expectations.
  8. Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and support the growth of the trust and wealth management business.
  9. Stay current on fiduciary best practices, trust and estate administration trends, regulatory requirements, and relevant tax and legal developments.


Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree required; degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, legal studies, or a related field preferred.
  2. Five to ten years of experience in trust administration, fiduciary services, estate settlement, private wealth management, or a related field.
  3. CTFA, CFP, JD, CPA, or similar professional designation preferred.
  4. Strong working knowledge of fiduciary duties, trust and estate administration, estate planning concepts, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  5. Experience administering personal trusts, revocable and irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts, guardianship accounts, estates, agency accounts, and related fiduciary relationships.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex fiduciary matters clearly and professionally.
  7. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  8. Demonstrated commitment to client service, confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
