ABOUT US:
As a manufacturing startup dedicated to transforming the pontoon boat industry, Flamingo prioritizes innovation, performance, and quality to deliver exceptional on-water experiences. We’re currently seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to help us build and scale a high-performing manufacturing operation from the ground up.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Flamingo Marine is seeking an experienced and hands-on 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in our growing pontoon boat production facility. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading production employees and ensuring that pontoon boats move safely and efficiently through the manufacturing process while meeting established standards for safety, quality, productivity, craftsmanship, and delivery schedules. The ideal candidate understands that manufacturing a high-quality pontoon boat requires strong coordination between fabrication, welding, decking, assembly, rigging, quality, materials, and final production. The hours for the position are 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and supervise daily production activities associated with pontoon boat manufacturing.
- Establish daily priorities and communicate production expectations clearly to employees.
- Monitor production progress throughout the shift to ensure boats remain on schedule.
- Ensure employees have the materials, components, tools, equipment, and information required to complete their work.
- Monitor production flow from fabrication and welding through assembly, rigging, quality inspection, and final completion.
- Identify production bottlenecks and immediately address issues that could impact boat completion or delivery schedules.
- Coordinate staffing and employee assignments based on production requirements, employee skills, and workload.
- Monitor labor utilization and productivity while maintaining appropriate quality standards.
- Work closely with Production leadership to establish realistic daily and weekly production targets.
- Support the company's continued growth from low-volume production toward higher-volume manufacturing.
- Develop a strong understanding of Flamingo Marine's boat-building process and how individual production departments contribute to the finished pontoon.
- Maintain an efficient production flow between fabrication, welding, deck installation, assembly, rigging, and final production.
- Ensure production employees follow established build processes, work instructions, and quality requirements.
- Identify recurring manufacturing issues and work with Engineering, Quality, and Production leadership to improve processes.
- Monitor rework and identify opportunities to eliminate defects at the source.
- Ensure production teams understand how workmanship and attention to detail directly impact the quality and customer experience of each completed boat.
- Support the development and implementation of standardized manufacturing processes as production volumes increase.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of manufacturing or production experience.
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead employees in a hands-on production environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and workplace safety.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to read and understand production schedules, work instructions, and basic manufacturing metrics.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED:
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience supervising employees in marine, automotive, recreational vehicle, boat, trailer, or other complex assembly manufacturing.
- Experience with pontoon boat, aluminum fabrication, welding, marine assembly, or recreational marine manufacturing.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, standard work, or continuous improvement.
- Experience with Plex or another manufacturing ERP/MES system.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Experience with production scheduling and labor planning.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
