Applications span material handling equipment, battery systems, charging infrastructure, warehouse automation, electric vehicles, ground support equipment, renewable energy, and industrial electrification markets.

Position Summary

The Product Manager - Energy serves as Anderson Power’s Energy market expert and strategic business leader, responsible for defining and executing segment strategy to drive profitable growth across battery energy storage systems, fuel cells, microgrids, backup power, power conversion, distributed energy infrastructure, and related industrial electrification applications.

This role translates market intelligence, customer requirements, technology trends, and competitive insights into growth strategies, product roadmap input, commercialization plans, and priority initiatives that accelerate Anderson Power’s position in targeted Energy markets. The position works closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Product Management to identify high-value opportunities, support OEM design wins, and convert long-cycle Energy applications into scalable revenue growth.

  • Hybrid role that averages 3 days onsite per week
Key ResponsibilitiesEnergy Segment Strategy & Market Leadership
  • Develop and execute the Energy segment strategy, growth roadmap, and priority initiatives aligned with Anderson Power’s long-term business objectives.
  • Identify, prioritize, and quantify market opportunities across battery energy storage, fuel cells, microgrids, backup power, power conversion, distributed energy, and industrial electrification applications.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, Voice of Customer activities, and application mapping to define where Anderson Power should play and how to win.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer roadmaps, regulatory developments, technology shifts, and competitive activity to inform investment priorities and growth strategies.
  • Build business cases and strategic recommendations that support profitable growth, product investment, and market expansion decisions.
Product Roadmap & Customer Insight
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to align product roadmaps with Energy market requirements, customer expectations, and emerging application needs.
  • Translate customer requirements, application challenges, and technology trends into product concepts, roadmap inputs, positioning recommendations, and growth opportunities.
  • Support OEM design-in activities, technical evaluations, customer qualifications, and platform opportunities by providing market and application expertise.
  • Identify portfolio gaps and recommend new products, product enhancements, application solutions, or partnership opportunities that strengthen Anderson Power’s Energy offering.
  • Serve as the internal voice of the Energy market to strengthen customer alignment, product relevance, and long-term competitive position.
Commercialization, Growth & Execution
  • Lead commercialization activities including value proposition development, market positioning, launch support, sales enablement, and application messaging.
  • Partner with Sales to develop account growth strategies for priority Energy customers, applications, and channel opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing to create customer-facing content, application materials, demand generation initiatives, and industry thought leadership that support Energy growth.
  • Represent Anderson Power in customer meetings, industry events, technical forums, and trade associations to build credibility and identify new opportunities.
  • Track design wins, pipeline health, market performance, competitive dynamics, and strategic initiatives while providing clear updates and recommendations to leadership.

  • Clear Energy Segment Strategy: Develops a focused growth strategy for priority Energy markets such as battery storage, fuel cells, microgrids, backup power, power conversion, and industrial electrification.
  • Strong Market and Customer Insight: Understands market trends, customer requirements, regulatory shifts, competitive dynamics, and application needs well enough to guide where Anderson Power should compete.
  • Ability to Translate Insight into Action: Converts market intelligence and customer needs into actionable growth plans, product roadmap inputs, commercialization strategies, and business cases.
  • Effective Product Roadmap Influence: Partners with Product Management and Engineering to ensure product development aligns with Energy market opportunities and customer requirements.
  • Commercial Execution and Revenue Growth: Supports design wins, account growth strategies, pipeline development, and commercialization efforts that convert long-cycle Energy opportunities into scalable revenue.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Works effectively across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Product Management to align priorities and move strategic initiatives forward.
  • Technical Credibility in Energy Applications: Demonstrates enough technical understanding of Energy applications, power systems, connectors, and electrification trends to be credible with customers and internal technical teams.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, strategic marketing, market development, business development, technical sales, or related commercial roles.
  • Experience in Energy, battery storage, fuel cells, microgrids, backup power, power distribution, power electronics, industrial electrification, or related technical markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate market insight and customer requirements into business cases, product recommendations, commercialization plans, or growth strategies.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Product Management teams.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support customers, partners, industry events, and business development priorities; typical expectation up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with battery energy storage systems, fuel cells, microgrids, backup power, power conversion, distributed energy, utility infrastructure, or industrial electrification applications.
  • Experience with connectors, power distribution systems, high-current interconnects, cable assemblies, power electronics, or adjacent electrical technologies.
  • Proven experience developing segment strategies, product roadmaps, market models, business cases, or commercialization plans.
  • Established relationships or credibility with OEMs, system integrators, engineering teams, product management teams, channel partners, or energy infrastructure stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, financial, strategic planning, and presentation skills.
