Job Responsibility Description

Main Activities

1. Required to compare data with source documents, check for accuracy and re-enter data in verification format to detect errors
2. Expected to be able to sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered as well as locate and correct data entry errors and so a keen eye for picking up errors or potential errors is important
3. Able to read source documents such as manifests, bills etc and be able to transfer data into specific data fields into Imexnet
4. Work unsupervised and so it is important that you are capable of self-management and be able to select materials needed to complete work assignments without the assistance of other people.
5. Creation of inbonds, depending on the type requested by the customer (IE, IT, TE)
6. Preparation of entries and management of the bonded warehouse.
7. Attending meetings with Customs Officials in the application of duty refunds and tariff reclassification as appropriate and will assist with any appeals that are forthcoming.
8. Post bonds for the products being imported or assist clients in obtaining bonds. You will also be required to prepare the necessary import documentation such as certificates of origin and cargo control documents
9. Ensure all inbonds created are exported on Imexnet to avoid penalties from CBP.
10. Ensure all customers/customer service provide clearnce for Transmaritime’s bonds created.
11. Be able to manage and negotiate GO entries and warehousing capacities with warehouse leads.
12. Maintain minimum errors on CBP documentation.
13. Look after company benefit and good stand with US Customs.
