Distinguished Engineer, Cybersecurity

In this executive-level technical role, you will lead the growth and evolution of advanced cybersecurity capabilities across cloud security, application security, governance, identity management, and AI-driven security operations. You’ll collaborate with enterprise clients, cross-functional leadership teams, and technical specialists to design secure transformation strategies and deliver impactful cybersecurity solutions. Accountabilities:
  • Lead and scale global cybersecurity practice initiatives, driving strategic growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Define and execute cybersecurity strategies across domains including cloud security, application security, IAM, GRC, SOC, data security, and AI security.
  • Drive business growth through cybersecurity-led transformation programs, pipeline generation, and large-deal solution shaping.
  • Partner with industry verticals and enterprise stakeholders to develop tailored cybersecurity solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and clients on cybersecurity risk, governance, resilience, and digital transformation.
  • Lead proactive assessments, client workshops, technical discussions, and cybersecurity transformation proposals.
  • Design and develop differentiated cybersecurity offerings such as Zero Trust, DevSecOps, Cloud Security, Managed Security, and AI-driven security solutions.
  • Establish frameworks for AI system security, including model protection, adversarial risk mitigation, and secure data handling practices.
  • Build accelerators and automation capabilities for threat intelligence, compliance monitoring, security assessments, and SOC optimization.
  • Ensure secure, compliant, and high-quality delivery standards across cybersecurity engagements and enterprise programs.
  • Mentor and guide multidisciplinary cybersecurity teams across offensive security, defensive operations, governance, and compliance domains.
  • Represent the organization at industry forums, leadership events, and cybersecurity thought leadership initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify current-state challenges and define scalable future-state architectures and processes.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment, decision-making, and consensus-building across complex enterprise environments.
Requirements:
  • 17+ years of experience in cybersecurity leadership, consulting, engineering, or enterprise security transformation roles.
  • Deep expertise across cybersecurity domains including cloud security, IAM, SOC, GRC, application security, and data protection.
  • Strong experience driving cybersecurity strategy, business development, and practice growth within enterprise or consulting environments.
  • Proven ability to engage with C-level stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on security strategy and risk management.
  • Experience leading security transformation initiatives and integrating cybersecurity into large-scale digital programs.
  • Strong understanding of AI-driven cybersecurity capabilities, threat detection automation, and security for AI systems.
  • Experience developing innovative security offerings such as Zero Trust architectures, DevSecOps, and managed security services.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing cybersecurity teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and client engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience delivering projects across industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, construction, consumer goods, chemicals, or related sectors is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lead discovery workshops, solution assessments, pre-sales activities, and technical proposal development.
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, risk frameworks, and enterprise security best practices.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • MBA or postgraduate qualification from a reputed institution is considered an advantage.
