Job Description
I. INTRODUCTION
A. This position is hybrid and is located at Raleigh Radiology’s Business Support Office (Admin) location.
B. The Revenue Cycle Analyst generates revenue cycle reporting and analytics used to monitor and optimize revenue cycle operational metrics and cash flow targets.
II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Analysis and Reporting
a) Responsible for performing analysis of key revenue performance metrics.
b) Develop report templates for ad-hoc and or standard monthly reports to assist with monitoring of revenue cycle metrics.
c) Monitor company performance and compare to industry benchmarks.
d) Applies knowledge of coding including use of billable CPTs, diagnosis codes, modifiers, to perform an in-depth analysis of root cause analysis.
e) Use data to identify trends and gaps.
f) Use dashboards and reports to monitor key performance metrics.
g) Assist with preparing management and board slides.
h) Serve as liaison between Raleigh Radiology and third-party billing vendor.
i) Ensure accuracy of charge capture, claims submission, follow-up, denials, and underpayment management.
j) Cultivates effective collaborative relationships with the functional departments.
k) Assist in development and implementation of corporate and office policy and procedures for revenue cycle management.
l) Supports the annual budget and forecast process.
m) Assists with month end close reporting and variance analysis.
n) Reports significant budget differences to management.
o) Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Finance.

Requirements:III. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE. Education: Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience. B. Experience: previous experience in healthcare or inpatient/outpatient setting is required.
IV. DESIRED SKILLS
Advanced or intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Strong analytical skills, exceptional critical thinking skills, and highly organized. Proven leadership abilities. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Flexibility, dependability, and professionalism required. Computer literate. Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle is preferred. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
III. WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to travel locally as needed.
IV. NATURE OF SUPERVISION
A. Supervised by: Director of Finance

C. Instruction / Assistance / Review of Work:
The revenue cycle analyst functions with oversight by the Director of Finance, although considerable independent work is required. Review of work is generally limited to assurance that work performed is in accordance with policies and procedures as judged by the Director of Finance and evidenced by compliance with all regulations/accreditations. The revenue cycle analyst is expected to inform the Director of Finance when unforeseen events / circumstances require significant changes.
