Senior Solution Architect-ServiceNow Service Portal

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Solution Architect – ServiceNow Service Portal in Canada.

This role is focused on designing and delivering modern, high-performing digital experiences on the ServiceNow platform, with a strong emphasis on Service Portal development. You will shape how employees and end users interact with enterprise services by building intuitive, scalable, and responsive applications. Acting as both a technical architect and trusted advisor, you will translate complex business needs into elegant front-end and platform solutions. The position involves close collaboration with clients, delivery teams, and integration specialists to ensure end-to-end solution success. You will play a key role in defining architecture standards and elevating user experience quality across implementations. Accountabilities:
  • Design and deliver ServiceNow Service Portal solutions, including responsive web and mobile interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, Bootstrap, and related technologies.
  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture activities including design, development, debugging, testing, documentation, and optimization of ServiceNow applications.
  • Conduct requirements gathering workshops and translate business needs into technical specifications, use cases, and functional designs.
  • Architect and implement ServiceNow solutions across core modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
  • Develop and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, and other third-party systems.
  • Create and manage script-based configurations including business rules, UI policies, ACLs, client scripts, and workflow logic.
  • Provide technical leadership in pre-sales activities, including proposals, statements of work, and solution guidance.
  • Collaborate with integration teams to design scalable Service Portal and platform integration strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL-based processes and support continuous improvement of service delivery models.
  • Guide development planning and ensure alignment between architecture, performance, and evolving business requirements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform, including deep expertise in ServiceNow architecture and Service Portal.
  • Strong background in software or application development within SaaS, PaaS, or enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Service Portal technologies (HTML, CSS, AngularJS, SASS, Bootstrap).
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow scoped applications and platform customization.
  • Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, integrations, and distributed system architecture.
  • Solid understanding of relational and object-oriented database design principles.
  • Experience with ITIL V3 processes and their practical implementation in enterprise environments.
  • Strong ability to gather requirements, lead workshops, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX principles and building scalable, high-performance user interfaces.
  • ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS in multiple modules) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a passion for engineering excellence and modern digital experiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
