This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced cybersecurity professional passionate about advancing enterprise-scale security operations and threat defense strategies. In this role, you will oversee a modern Security Operations Center (SOC) environment focused on proactive monitoring, automated response, and AI-enhanced threat detection capabilities. You will collaborate across technical and business teams to strengthen security architecture, improve incident response readiness, and guide the evolution of enterprise-wide security practices. The position offers the chance to lead distributed security operations teams and external security service providers while shaping long-term cybersecurity strategy. - Lead and manage the organization’s DevSecOps Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring continuous 24x7x365 monitoring, detection, and incident response capabilities.
- Oversee information security teams and external security partners, including MSSP, MDDR, and EDR service providers, while driving operational excellence and service maturity.
- Provide security architecture guidance and subject matter expertise across enterprise IT initiatives, with a strong emphasis on application security and secure development practices.
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide information security standards, policies, and controls related to data protection, network security, application security, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation planning to proactively identify and reduce security risks.
- Lead security incident response activities, coordinate remediation efforts, and serve as a key escalation point during critical cybersecurity events.
- Research emerging threats, technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve the organization’s security posture and resilience.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to align security initiatives with operational and strategic objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience.
- 22+ years of experience across multiple areas of Information Technology, including at least 12 years focused specifically on Information Security.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing security teams and operational cybersecurity functions.
- CISSP certification strongly preferred; additional certifications such as SANS or CISA are highly valued.
- Strong expertise in SOC operations, incident response leadership, intrusion detection, firewall monitoring, endpoint security, and threat analysis.
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing, vulnerability management, OWASP methodologies, and secure application development practices.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks, encryption technologies, access control systems, network security, operating systems, and regulatory compliance requirements including PCI DSS and privacy laws.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executive leadership, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills within fast-paced and matrixed environments.
- Availability to support on-call responsibilities for a continuous SOC operation environment when necessary.
