ACTIVITY AIDE - Wilson Care, Chicago, IL - Full Time
Wilson Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility in the Uptown Neighborhood of Chicago, IL is in need of upbeat, friendly, compassionate Activity Aides. You'll be planning, organizing and leading activities and going on community outings under the direction of the Activities Director. $18.00 per hour!
Available Positions:
Full Time, Sunday-Thursday, 10:30am-6:30pm
Full Time Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00am-4:00 pm

Responsibilities of the Activity Aide:
- Assist the Activities Director in carrying out the plan of care for each consumer
- Assist with recreational activities, arts and crafts, religious and community activities, service activities, intellectual and educational activities
- Participate in community planning related to the interests and needs of the consumer and family
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and a positive, calm environment
- Record consumers' participation in daily activities and chart their progress

Requirements:of the Activity Aide:
- High school diploma required
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with group activities
- Must speak, read and write English; bi-lingual a plus
- Must be highly organized, take initiative, think creatively and communicate well with others
- Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of the consumers
- Be considerate, pleasant and professional in the performance of duties and interactions with staff
